Congratulations. Honorable Chief Guest of today’s Workshops ceremony Mr. Sukesh Kumar Sarker, Secretary to the Govt. and Director General of NAPD, Respected Chairperson K M Ali Reza, Additional Director General (Additional Secretary), NAPD, Respected Keynote Paper Presente Dr. Md. Shohrab Hossain Prof. Dept. of CSE, BUET. Two Panel Discussion Mohammad Salahuddin, Deputy Secretary, Project Analyst, a2i, Mr. Abdus Satter, Assistant Professor, Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka, Workshop Coordinators, faculty members of NAPD and participants of different authorities Assalamoalikum and very Good Morning.

Are your organization utilizing NextGen technologies, such as robotics, autonomous vehicles, block chain or AI or Machine Learning as part of your digital transformation? We may decide that the answer is no. How many days do we want to pass until NextGen or 4IR technology is included into supply change management?

 Because, NAPD has chosen such creative workshop themes under the banner of Annual Performance Agreements and NAPD e-Governance master plan 2023. NAPD intends to continue spreading cutting-edge concepts and technology in the future. I hope I shall get all encouragements from yourselves and NAPD authority.

 Dear participants. I want to personally welcome everyone to this workshop. Once more, I want to thank your nominating authority for supporting NAPD activities.

As workshop Director, I want inform about today’s workshop objectives. Objectives are-

  • Way forward in Integration on Block Chain Technologies in Supply Chain Management

Though from the beginning of this block chain technology, everybody knows about the applications in crypto currencies. But after huge research now a days, companies are developing applications for non-financial areas also. Some of the few areas where block chain technology is applicable-

     Including making supply chains traceable

  • To store the information of each step of the supply chain of a company

Ø         Ensuring sustainable sourcing

Ø         Tracing products at manufacturing, distribution and consumer levels

Also remember that there is some differences between the two important key terms like procurement and supply change management.

 I have faith that today's efforts won't be in vain. Instead, we all will learn about block chain technology and how it can be used in SCM and procurement.

 Our respected eminent keynote speaker Dr. Md. Shohrab Hossain, Professor, Dept. of CSE, BUET, Discussants, chairperson and Chief Guest of the workshop are very profound in the topics knowledge. By your active Q/A, 4 group works and their presentations, our workshop will be a success one.

 We shall make comprehensive workshop report which will be published on our website.

5G in Bangladesh: with hopes, with challenges

  Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission   ( BTRC)  has lately announced that it will give licenses to mobile operators to roll out 5G services in the band spectrum of 2.6-3.5 GHz by the first quarter of 2020 after the guidelines have been drafted.
