How to be an Innovative Speaker?

1. Innovation in Effective session conduct

•  Define your message of the session.

•        Make it participatory. In your last line, ask questions and teach by name. The final 5 to 10 minutes will be dedicated to participant comments.

•        Maintain start and Ending time.

•        Concentrate on the audience's needs. Patience is required. Don't retaliate if the participants engage in unwelcome behavior.

•        Boost your self-confidence on topics by reading daily papers, books, articles, senior lectures and self-experience.

•        Prepare yourself. Write the last update date in a text box and put red color at the top right corner of your slide.

•      Do not attend class until you have updated your slide. You won't show any slides that aren't based on current data. Please don't do that.

•        Pay Attention to Your Body Language (smile mode, free frank)

•        Don’t put your hand in your pant pocket.

•        Ask about the last discussion to a sleeping person, the unattended person at class

•        Don’t tell more foreign stories without specific needs. Must be very short.

•        Don’t teach foreign downloaded slides directly. Must be aligned with Bangladesh (Own Country) needs.

•        Try to guess what can be demanded from participants minds and slide hold about it.

2. Innovation in making PowerPoint Presentation (PPP)

•        12-20 slides for 50-60 minutes session

•        8 sentences in  a slide

•        10 words in a sentence

•        Slide head font size 36-40

•        Slide body font size 24-30

•        Font name Tahoma

•        Insert date, time, slide number and footnote at all slides.

•        Customize each slide from your own view. Otherwise, it is treated as a cut paste. So you will be degraded at session evaluation.

•        Put your slide at researchgate.net  or your own website

•        Copy the contents from the internet but customize by your own language

•        Use the references of sources like books, self-experience, articles, websites.

•        Add photo, graphs, table, video, audio, hyperlink when it is needed.

•        Avoid more texts because the software name is PPP

•        Don’t use more red color, clumsy design also at slides. Use light color design as design.

•        Don’t try to take the class using directly downloaded pdf.

•        Retain Slide-

•   Background problem i.e. intuition
•    Definition, 
•  Types, 
•  Description, 
•  International perspective, 
•  Bangladesh perspective, 
•  Challenges and Recommendations 

3. Dress 

•  Well dressed. 
•  Care about choosing shoes.

4. Interactive

•  More Q/A in the session
•  Try to pick insights from the participants. 
•       Obtain information from a range of individuals. This helps to keep the session from sleeping.
•        Participants will occasionally read slides.
•        In the last 5 minutes, take a summary of lectures from participants.
