The organization improves by HR not by sizes/area. 


Example- NAPD is small by size but is now the model public organization in Bangladesh by HR innovations. 



Traditional Problems in HRM Department-

  2. Difficulty in providing up-to-date and timely information to Top-Management
  3. Much time is taken to respond to queries from line management and employees
  4. Much time is taken to provide input for HR Planning
  5. No database on the performance of employees, on their training needs and Improvement Plan

  6. Difficulty to retrieve information needed for decision making

Historical Evolution of HRIMS-

   HRIS An Interface between HR and Computer Technology

   •    The study found that HRMIS emerged in the low-tech era (1980-90) and the roles of HR professionals transformed from traditional administrative to more strategic roles during the high-tech era (from 1990).


HRMIS Definitions-


HRMIS can streamline administration and record-keeping tasks as well as provide decision support for managers and HR specialists.

 

The Human Resource Information System (HRMIS) is a software or online solution for the data entry, data tracking, and data information needs of the Human Resources,     payroll,     management,                         and            accounting functions within a organization.

 

Human Resource Information System (HRMIS), refers to the systems and processes at the intersection between HRM and IT. It merges HRM as a discipline and in particular its basic HR activities and processes with the information technology field.

Any organization can host the HRMIS application software at its own MIS or own server. But nowadays, organizations can think to hire cloud services for the purpose of hosting services. Remember that the cost is less compare to own hosting.


Bangladesh Context-

 In Bangladesh, some of the public offices are HRMIS software that is developed customizing by their own fund or donor fund. Some private-sector business organizations are using ERP from abroad. 

But as a pilot project,  www.grp.gov.bd is being developed under the umbrella of the ministry of ICT by the flagship of Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC). Here GRP means Government Resource Planning. Here are 10 modules. One of the 10 modules is HRM. If this module is completed successfully and opened for the whole of Bangladesh, this will be a big achievement.
